deepseaNZ .... is a family business with a tradition of "Give it a Go".

As kids, home was on an island in a peaceful harbour. With school, shops and services on the mainland, transport was by boat. A boat or dinghy required no licence and had no age restrictions. Put an outboard on the back and it was FAR better than a bike! "Swim like a fish", "row a boat" and "boat handling skills" were the benchmarks for independence as early as seven.

Entertainment was self-generated. Kids begged, borrowed or "acquired" the tools of water entertainment. Boat, dinghy, outboard, yacht, kayak, surfboard, wet suit, water ski, windsurfer, snorkel, flippers, scuba gear, rods, reels, lures, nets. Everyone "Gave it a "Go". There was no TV, no playstation, no passive entertainment.
